ROTOQUIZ 2022

The 63rd edition of Ramnarayan Chellaram Rotoquiz 2022 was held on Sunday, 11th Sept 2022 at SDM PG Centre for Management and Research. The Mangalore round of the quiz sponsored by Ideal Ice cream, in association with the Rotary Club of Mangalore and Rotaract Club of SDM PG Centre, was a grand success with 74 teams i.e 150 students participating in the quiz contest. The early buzz for the registrations started as early as 9 am on a bright Sunday morning following which the students gathered at the SDM conference hall. The event started with a prayer and was then handed over to the quiz master Rtn. CA Naveen Narayan briefed the students about the rules & regulations and the prizes involved. This was followed by the 30 minutes 60 questions quiz contest that started at 10:30 am. It covered a range of General Knowledge questions including audio and visual questions. There were four clear winners that were announced by Rtn.JP Rao, Chairman of Rotaract- RC Mangalore. The first prize was bagged by Nischal R & Shreevatsa Acharya B.(final year MBBS) from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore. The second prize was bagged by Edsel Shannen DSouza & Sinchana T. (2nd PUC) from St Philomena PU College, Puttur. The third prize was bagged by Ananish M Shenoy & Bhushan B Shetty (2nd Year MBBS)from Yenepoya Medical College. The fourth prize was bagged by Rithesh P & Niranjan H S (3rd-year B.Com) from Vivekananda College, Puttur. All the winners were given a trophy and certificates along with cash prizes handed over by the chief guest and event sponsor Mr Mukund Kamath, Proprietor of Ideal Ice Cream. Rtn. R K Bhat, President of Rotary Club of Mangalore, Rtn Ashwin Pai Maroor, Secretary of RCM, Rtn. Mayur Sheregar, Rotoquiz Convenor & Youth Service Director of RCM, Dr Savitha Periera, Professor and staff Coordinator of Rotaract Club of SDM PG Centre and Srinidhi S, President of Rotaract Club of SDM PG Centre were also present. The winners from the Mangalore round will now get an opportunity to participate in the Finals at Bangalore on the 26th of September 2022. The event was successfully conducted and managed by the Rotaractors from the Rotaract Club of SDM PG centre with guidance and support from the Rotary Club of Mangalore. Curtains were drawn on the event with a vote of thanks by Rtn. Mayur Sheregar, Convenor of Rotoquiz and Youth Service Director of Rotary Club Of Mangalore.
